THE EXTENDED HANDS FOUNDATION

Providing a Foundation of Hope to a Generation of Promise

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those who are perishing.  Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.”                      - Proverbs 31:8-9 NLT

PURPOSE & MISSION STATEMENT

The Extended Hands Foundation is a humanitarian-faith based organization committed to meeting and advocating for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of youth, children and their families with the goal of restoring Hope to a Generation.

Each division of EHF focuses on a specific group within our community, nation and world in order to achieve the greatest impact possible.  Through a diversified base of focus, Extended Hands works to reach into every area of society to find and restore the hurting, neglected, misunderstood and invisible youth of this era.

"It takes a whole village to raise a child."
Ashanti proverb

In order to achieve our purpose, EHF has developed partnerships with multiple youth organizations, governmental agencies, local leaders, business owners and church bodies.

By combining our resources and efforts, we will accomplish reaching and the restoration of this generation to hope.

“The question for the child is not, ‘Do I want to be good?’ but, ‘Whom do I want to be like?’ ”
Bruno Bettelheim, Austrian-American child psychologist, author (1903-1990)

"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old,

he will not depart from it."
— Proverbs 22:6

"You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth."
— Kahlil Gibran, Lebanese-American novelist and poet (1883-1931)

As part of our strategic plan, EHF has focused on multiple areas in society which we feel commissioned to champion hope and restoration.  These areas include: a network of resources to aid in the recruitment and retention of DHS foster families; creation of Preschools within churches to supply excellent fundamental elementary education while supporting community improvement through church support and growth; after school guidance & recreational centers for adolescents; partnerships with PIL programs & ranch programs for at-risk teens; a counseling center offering support for adolescents and their families (bio/foster); abroad boarding-school facilities and educational micro-business programs within impoverished international communities.  Although EHF has a broad vision, through our partnerships and resources, Extended Hands is confident of achieving the strategic goal of Restoring Hope to this Generation--- one child at a time.
