What does it take to make a difference in the world?  Must a person first discover the cure for a deadly disease?  Does one need to obtain a platform from which to speak to millions?  Is it necessary to build an orphanage in a third world country?  Or is it as simple, yet as complicated, as opening your heart and home to a child.

Often we look for the opportunity of a life time and expect it to come with fireworks or a laser light show, yet the greatest opportunity is already within our reach.  We each have the opportunity to impact a life FOREVER; not just influence or persuade, but Impact someone to their core value system.

Children are often compared to clay, which starts out soft and moldable.  Yet have you ever felt clay that has been untouched, neglected, made dirty or left in the sun?  It has become hard, abrasive, crackly, easily breakable, unfixable and considered unusable to a potter.  How ironic, that society makes the same assumptions about “kids in the system.” 

But just think, what could happen if the love of God was poured over those unformed, harden pieces?  Suddenly, something feels different as his presence seeps through each agonizing crack of memories and pain.  Such a process is never simple or quick, yet it is the only means through which restoration can be administered.  Could you be part of a child’s Restoration?

Have you ever considered becoming a Foster Parent or an Adoptive Parent?   Has the possibility of taking a child into your loving home ever passed across your heart?  If so, now is the time to get the answers to the tough questions; “Is it for us?” and “Could we do it?”
